Eastern European Conference on
Computer Vision is a unique opportunity for computer vision researchers and
developers to meet, share their knowledge, learn about new trends and find
like-minded people. It should serve as a forum for ideas relevant to the use of
vision and range sensors in robot perception, augmented reality and object
recognition.

It will go side by side with a
fashion week, rock, jazz festivals and other events in Odessa, Ukraine.

The conference will gather over 150-200
participants
 from
Eastern Europe and more than 10 speakers from all over Europe and the United
States.

The conference is organised by Augmented Pixels, the leading expert in
augmented reality and image processing technologies.

ComputerVision

Link: https://life.indiegogo.com/fundraisers/computer-vision/

I am creating a software that will help to implement digital image processing and computer vision easier. There is a contest that my university is organizing and I really want to participate because I will have the oportunity to win a 3D printer and the opportunity to participate in other contest. I am going to be the only one in my university that will make a project about computer vision and how we can implement it to robots.

I need the money to buy everything I need to accomplish this project.

I am René Alberto Hernandez Gutierrez, of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. I have participated in local, state and national competitions, also win a pass to a continental competition. I spoke to the Governor of Puebla about how we can use technology to improve education. I am studying Mechatronics engineering, I have overall average of 91.17.

Everything started when I was in high school, I took my first course in programming and I fail the course I even took the test 3 times, I say to myself that I will dedicate more time learning about the course, when I started digging in the world of computer I absolutely fall in love, the next two years in high school I was the best in programming, and I helped teachers to introduce students in programming.

Now that I am in university I help other students learn computer programming and I am the one in charge to program the robots or others project in school.

Land Instruments is a renowned infrared temperature measurement systems
manufacturer whose products include thermal equipment. It has broad market presence
in many industrial sectors, specially the steel industry.

The Land -TECNALIA alliance has generated a
library for processing infrared images that along with the use of Land hardware
allows the customization of the interface, processing and the communication of
the results.

This library provides powerful software analysis
tools that allow the customization of the application, ranging from simple to
the most complex algorithms.

These developments are being implemented at the
Arcelor Mittal plant in Sestao and at the Tubacex plant in LLodio. The
application prospects for this library include a broad range of industrial
clients, far beyond the steel industry.
