Intro / Background 
As Meta’s Director of Engineering, Computer Vision, you will lead our Computer Vision (CV) team, helping Meta achieve its mission to change the interface paradigm of computing.  You’ll be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for managing some of the most challenging problems such as integration of advanced optics, SLAM, and hand tracking to the product. You can dig deep in those areas, both in terms of the maths and the code. You are a strong technical leader who understands people and sets clear goals.  You have the business sense to contribute to Meta’s strategy and the skills align the team to achieve it. 
The level of the position would be from Sr. Manager, via Director, to Sr. Director, depending of your experience.
Mission
Build the leading team for solving latency, tracking, calibration, and many of the challenges in augmented / mixed reality.
Hands on with the team on code review, testing, and QA. 
Inspire teams to research and innovate! 
Create complete end-to-end solution for our shipping product.
Skills necessary to be successful
PhD/MSc in CS/CE/EE, focusing on Computer Vision.
You have a strong track record doing cutting edge computer vision work, as evidenced by publications in top-tier venues like CVPR, or releasing major computer vision tools or products.
8+ work experience in the relevant field with software development background.
Strong Math background and understanding of tracking methodology and technologies.
Shipped 1+ product in computer vision or imaging.
Machine Learning is a plus.
GPGPU or any hardware acceleration background is a plus.
You are hands-on with C++, familiar with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, and you are able to manage the team’s deliverables.
