Subject: seeking research associates and postdoctoral fellow interested in developing new kinds of prosthetic devices and robots (Laboratory of Dr. Sheila Nirenberg at Weill Cornell Medicine, located in Manhattan).

Our research focuses on studying neural coding and computation and applying what we learn to the development of prosthetic devices and problems in artificial intelligence.  

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in computer science, neuroscience, electrical engineering, or a related field, and be excited about translating basic science discoveries into solutions to real-world problems. Weill Cornell Medicine (Cornell University’s Medical School) is among the top-ranked clinical and medical research centers in the country. Founded in 1898, the medical school is part of a large biomedical enterprise extending along York Avenue between 65th and 72nd streets on Manhattan's Upper East Side that includes Rockefeller University and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
