  • Job Descriptions:

My client is an exciting and innovative firm with a global presence. Their key-products are used around the world and represent a business model based around high-quality Computer Vision R&D.

The firm I am working with have already built a world-class global R&D team that have already contributed to disruptive technology in a number of ways. They work with some of the biggest house-hold names in the world and their list of business partners is growing by the day. Having received a number of huge rounds of funding, the budget for the Computer Vision team enables them a platform of all the tools and support they need to create state-of-the-art work that is viewed/used by millions of people around the world. The firm is described as one of the most disruptive and innovative firms in VR/AR (& of course Computer Vision).

Candidates should have a strong academic background in Computer Vision/Image Processing as well as an excellent understanding of Machine Learning. Whilst the team utilise a variety of areas of computer vision (detection, recognition, 3D geometry, SLAM, tracking, pose estimation…) they are open to the specialities of applicants. Candidates with experience in 3D will be able to hit the ground running from day one. Strong Machine Learning skills is a prerequisite. The team use a lot of Deep Learning but they are open to candidates picking this up on the job if they have an exceptional background in Computer Vision.

My client uses modern C++, so applicants with experience in this area will have an advantage. Candidates would ideally have a good publication history in leading conferences (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, NIPS, ICML etc). Academics are important to the R&D team so MSc/PhDs should come from top universities in the field.

The role(s) I am hiring for give candidates the opportunity to earn an excellent salary whilst researching and developing within Computer Vision, something that is not always apparent in academia/other firms. Candidates will also be able showcase their talents to the world and bring Computer Vision to the everyday consumer market. They are responsible for developing state-of-the-art algorithms that are built into their products and the successful candidate will be able to work on these from day one.
